Found as a sick, starving, nearly blind stray, she orchestrated her own rescue by stepping in front of one of our board member’s cars.
With help from her loving foster family and excellent vet care, Ellie's come a long way, and now she's ready for her forever home!
Obviously, we don’t know Ellie’s whole story. She was so tiny upon rescue (4 lbs.!), she looked like a kitten. Clearly, she’d been on her own for awhile and was struggling.
But now she is a diva princess instead of a homeless stray.
Yes, she’s a senior with special health needs. Yes, she can likely only see shadows. But she’s also affectionate and happy, loves people...and has even discovered the joy of toys.
We know that there are extraordinary people among us who are drawn to special, overlooked babies—and that’s who Ellie is waiting for.
