Meet Dottie
2 year old female pit mix, 50 lbs.
Dottie is a unicorn: a sweet, happy girl who loves people, dogs, cats...everyone! Our perfect little ambassador (she's awesome in every situation), you'd never know that she and her babies were rescued from a nightmarish hoarding case.
Dottie lives in a foster home with 3 generations of humans, a fellow foster dog (Taz) and 2 kitty foster siblings (Loki & Luna). She wants a family that will take her on adventures and car rides. She'd do best in a family that has a male dog...or at the least, will make sure she has lots of doggy friends in her life.

Dottie's Story
Today, Dottie is a ridiculously happy, healthy pup. She lives harmoniously with her foster brother, Taz, and Loki & Luna the cats (all of which are also available for adoption).
But when we first learned about Dottie, she was trapped--along with her 7 newborn puppies--in a horrific hoarding situation in Missouri.
As you can see from the photo, she was starving. She lived outside on a rural property with 80 other neglected, mistreated dogs. She was trying valiantly to nurse and protect her babies.
Dottie and her babies were among the first to be rescued by a small, miracle-working Missouri pit bull rescue. They reached out for help, and we committed to taking two of her babies (another rescue took the rest), as well as Dottie. We didn't want her to be left behind.
The puppies (who inherited Dottie's wonderful temperament) were adopted quickly...but as often happens, mama's been left waiting. In the meantime, she has blossomed into an absolute joy of a pup.
We know some very lucky person or family is going to make Dottie their very own soon...could it be you?
