3 year old male pit bill, 75 lbs.
Max is a big, beautiful blockhead who is full of life and fun. His extended foster family spans FOUR generations of humans, from newborns to Great-Grandma—and his favorite thing is to be part of whatever it is they’re doing.
Max has a mysterious past. He was picked up as a stray and brought to Chicago Animal Care & Control, which is where we rescued him.
About Max
Max loves fetch, Chuck-it balls and to romp around in the yard. He’s good in his crate and calm when left alone in the house. But he enjoys family parties, too!
Max is a bouncy dude, but responds well to training (and treats). His foster parents have been working with him and it shows. Like many rescue dogs with uncertain pasts, he suffers from some anxiety, which is well controlled with medication.
Max adored his late foster sister Nala, (a sweet senior pittie) and didn't leave her side during her final illness. He misses her. While Max can be choosy about other dogs, he might love a home with a mellow female dog (of course, we'd conduct a few playdates to make sure it’s a good match). Max would thrive in the hands of an experienced pittie owner.
