Taz has a heartbreak story, but we are grateful that he came into our lives and we could help.  Taz’s owner reached out to us because her husband has Alzheimer’s and she could no longer care for him and their dogs.  She had no family or friends who would take Taz and his doggie brother, Teddy and thus ran out of options. So, as hard as it was, she took them to the local Animal Care, where one of her neighbors thankfully worked and promised to make sure they were both safe and landed in loving homes.

But because she had contacted us before taking them to Animal Control, and were in contact with the AC team, we quickly searched for a foster home for Taz.  They were full and expecting an influx of dogs due to a case they were working on.  Therefore, time was of essence.  Thankfully, Teddy, his 140 pound Mastiff brother, found a great home where he sleeps at night between his mommy and daddy in bed.  But that left Taz in search of a home or rescue.

Not to worry because Dottie’s foster family said that they had room in their home and hearts for Taz. And Dottie was all four paws in to having a foster doggie brother to romp with!

Taz has proven himself to be just delightful in every way!  He is a respectful, sensitive, playful, very snuggly 3 year old dog who connects easily with the heart of those around him.  He is dog and cat friendly (he also shares a home with Loki and Luna, our two adoptable cats!).  He walks great on a leash, has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and is crate trained.

Taz would make a great addition to any family!
