Sabrina

Hello, my name is Sabrina. I’m just a baby yet, around two years old. I was picked up as a stray and my family never came to get me. I sat at the shelter for five long months. I am a happy girl, and I wagged my tail so much it hit the sides of the kennel and started to bleed. I lost a lot of weight too , I was very sad to be at the shelter so long. All I wanted was someone to give me a chance and take me home and make me a part of their family. The shelter staff put me in back where no one could see me. How could I ever get a new home if no one even knew I was at the shelter? A volunteer came to visit me and she saw what a good girl I was. She took me for walks outside and she took me around other dogs. I don’t mind other dogs as long as I get proper introductions to them. I had to go on what they call “transport”. I rode in a crate in the van like a good girl and I did not even cry. I gave my transport girls lots of love and kisses. (I knew they would be impressed to see what a loving girl I really am). I am spayed and have all of my shots. I think I would like a dog obedience class so I can become an even better behaved dog than I am already. I am really pretty, check out all of my spots. I did not mind the cats at the shelter when I walked by their cages but I don’t know what I would think of them if I had to share a home with them.  I would like to be an only dog or maybe have one other canine companion to play with. I am currently living in Davenport, IA. in a foster home with two other dogs.  Because the people that rescued me want only the best for me, anyone that wants to adopt me will have to fill out an application, provide references, and have a home visit. I will be waiting, I hope I don’t have to wait too long to find a family to love me.”
