ADOPTED!
Say “hello” to our handsome Sammy!
For us animal lovers, Craigslist is a myriad of potential dangers. That’s why we as rescuers do our best to reach out to people posting on CL hoping to educate them, offer them other options, give them guidance or resources. Sometimes we win, other times we are left with a dial tone in our ears. But we don’t stop trying.
When a volunteer saw Samson’s post that said he, a 10 week old puppy, needed to be out of the house by end of day, we immediately took action. Thankfully, our puppy foster (we’re always looking for fosters!) had a space ready and waiting, a family eager to bring a puppy into their home.
Sammy’s owner purchased him from a FB page that sold puppies and kittens, another sad reality and challenge in the world of animal welfare. He brought his new buddy home, but sadly Sammy was not welcomed by the person he lived with and after only one night in his new home, Sammy had just 24 hours to find another place to hang his baby hat.
Rehoming any pet is a process, should be a careful process, one that cannot happen in less than 24 hours. Thankfully, Sammy’s owner was willing to work with us and at the end of the day, wanted this little puppy to be safe and loved.
And, as you can see, safe and loved he is! Sammy is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has been neutered. And as you can see, immediately became a welcomed part of a lovely pack of people and pups. He has a wonderful personality and nice, easy energy. This boy is eager to play, but equally contented to curl up and snooze away.
This great boy has learned basic house manners, is potty and crate training like a champ, has mastered the art of napping on the couch and snuggling with the closest warm body, and has been nothing short of a delightful addition to his foster family.
Sammy will make a wonderful, and cute, addition to any pack!
