Nova, short for Casanova, stole our hearts! We went to Animal Control to meet a dog the team was trying desperately to save. Not only did we leave with Rascal, but with four others as well! Nova was loved while with us in rescue, became our mascot, and stole the hearts of everyone who met him. But soon he was to leave our rescue wings and move on to his very own family. Nova is often seen at many of the events we participate in and has agreed to continue acting as Midwest Rescue’s mascot. He even lets his Mom and Dad tag along (of course, they are charged with the job of keeping Nova comfortable, fresh water in his celebrity bowl, and his Mom is sure to buy new treats for him and his siblings). Nova is a one-of-a-kind, fantastic ambassador of the Pitbull breed and a gentle reminder that each and every life is worth saving!
Dottie, just a pregnant young pup herself, survived living in a hoarding situation with 90 other dogs. And what a dream she is!
