We received an email from a small foster-based rescue in Kansas City, MO who put out a cry for help. They were part of a team who responded to a hoarding case where 90 dogs were found living on the property.
Their story really spoke to us and we wanted to help. We quickly found fosters for two of Dottie’s puppies (another rescue took the other four into their rescue family), but we could not fathom leaving Dottie behind. This can often be the case that puppies find help but the momma dogs are left behind.
Thankfully, one of our board members had a place in her home and family for this sweetheart and before you know it, after a full day”s road trip, we added three new members to our pack! And because of the dedication of the rescue team, the remaining dogs were successfully removed from the property and have new starts at life!
Dottie is a one-of-a-kind little lady. She has proven to be gentle and kind, fun and playful and is true to her rescue dog nature…Dottie bonds quickly to her people with a heart loyal and true.
Though we are still doing doggie playdates and socializing with her, we would love for Dottie to find a home with a doggie brother, she has shown such a love to romp and play with canine friends.
Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has recently been spayed. Dottie has great house manners, she really is an angel, and is working hard on her potty training.
