Sometimes, things happen just the way they are supposed to.

Such is the case with our newbie, Daisy, who was found foraging through garbage for food under a busy viaduct. The person who found Daisy took her to the local animal control facility. But because they were closed, she took Daisy to the local police department, hoping they would hold her until animal control opened.

Though this was not typically an option, Daisy’s angel was working that night and not wanting Daisy to end up at animal control, decided to keep her for a few days and begin searching for a safe solution for her.

As she and her family were discussing Daisy, and the fact that they could not keep her long (their housing does not allow pit bulls), they remembered that her daughter used to live next door to one of our volunteers. They left a note on her car and the rest is history.

Daisy is around 1 year old, just under 45 pounds (she’s been on her own for a while and can stand to put on a few pounds!) and has that great pittie smile coupled with fun puppy energy. She got along well with one of our volunteer’s male dogs when we met her, has not been cat tested yet and is good with kids (the family who has her currently has a 10 year old who adores Daisy).

With the help of a structured foster or forever home, Daisy will be successful in brushing up on her basic manners and leash training. Daisy is very treat motivated and wants to make her people happy. And that in turn, makes training fun!

Daisy is up to date on vaccinations, has been spayed and HW tested. This pretty girl is ready to start the rest of her life!

In order to do so, we urgently need to find a foster home for her before time runs out in her current respite foster home. We don’t want this youngster to have to be boarded, will you please help us find a foster or forever home for Daisy?

We are grateful that Daisy crossed the path of someone who knew we could help. Now, we need your help.
